RFQ for Facilitation Services

The West Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA) has issues a Request for Qualification (RFQ) for Facilitation Services.

The Chapter is looking for a well-qualified individual or group to facilitate a series of virtual strategic meetings in March or April 2021(exact dates flexible) for the membership of the chapter.

Background

The West Virginia Chapter of the APA is a small organization (approximately 60 members) with limited resources. The chapter has been fairly inactive over the past decade. However, some members have come together to “reboot” the Chapter. Part of this transition included rewriting the Chapter’s by-laws. The Chapter will also hold elections for the executive committee of the chapter in February 2021. As part of this “reboot,” the Chapter wants to develop a mission, vision, develop goals and objectives, and provide recommendations to guide the Chapter over the next five (5) years, with a focus on next year. The Chapter recognizes the importance of having these discussions via a deliberative, strategic, and facilitated process.

Expectations

Facilitator(s) should be experienced facilitating groups of professionals. An understanding of planning and familiarity with West Virginia is desired, but not required. There will likely be between 10-20 professional planners participating in the meetings, however numbers could vary.

There will be no more than three (3), 2-hour sessions. No travel will be required. Competency with online teleconferencing platforms such as Zoom, Skype, or WebEx is required.
