APA Virginia Annual Conference

APA Virginia Chapter’s 37th Annual Conference will be heading to downtown Roanoke, July 16-19, 2017.

The 2017 Conference theme is “future communities.” Technological and societal shifts are happening at a breakneck pace. Our upcoming conference will explore how planners are taking advantage of opportunities “the future” poses while mitigating the risks to the health, safety, and welfare of communities.

Roanoke won’t just be a backdrop for the event. We’ll be getting out into this quickly evolving region and learning alongside its residents. How will we envision the communities of tomorrow to be resilient, innovative, and integrated?

For 2017, we hope to provide a robust conference program with even more opportunities to get out and about in Roanoke, learn new skills, become better planners, and celebrate great planning.

We’d like to invite all of our fellow APA members in our neighboring and near-neighboring Chapters to submit session proposals.

More information about the 2017 Conference will be provided in early 2017.
