Climate Preparedness and Community Resilience
The 3rd Biennial 2018 Local Solutions: Eastern Climate Preparedness Conference hosted by Antioch University and NOAA will be April 30-May 3 in Manchester, N.H.
This capacity-building program is geared towards small government planners, decision-makers, and advocates striving to create healthy resilient communities that are better able to handle severe weather and climate impacts.
Attendees will engage in a series of workshops and sessions on how to respond to the impacts of a changing climate, how to build resilience within the community, and how to make climate resilience an aspect of their daily operations. The four tracks include The Built Environment; Public Health; Community Engagement, Leadership, and Communication; and Planning and Process.
