Creative Placemaking Leadership Summit
The APA WV Chapter will be partnering on the Creative Placemaking Leadership Summit for the Appalachian Region to provide CM credits. The event will take place on Thursday June 21 and Friday June 22 at the Clay Center for Arts and Sciences in Charleston, WV.
The conference will discuss ways in which small rural communities can address creative placemaking in a way that is socially and geographically relevant.
Topics include building arts in rural and isolated areas, creative placemaking in post-industrial communities, mapping assets, and protecting the ethos of a community.
The American Planning Association (APA) has approved all the sessions for AICP CM credits. Up to to 8.75 credits can be earned during the two (2) days.
The summit is being produced by the National Consortium for Creative Placemaking in partnership with ArtPlace America.
